November 4th: Hue
While John, Cindy and Tracy went to Hoi An I took a long walk around some of the more far flung sights in the town of Hue.

This area a couple of km outside town was the site for a major festival
The emporer and retinue would process out here for an annual rededication
I don't know if this is war damage, but it looks like it!

There is a (now somewhat overgrown) canal system near the palace
If the citadel walls are very wide, why not plant vegetables on the top?
The imperial retinue would use these artifical islands for recreation
For the full moon people put out ceremonial offerings...
