We took a tour of the old Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) from the war, to see what conditions would have been like there, to improve our historical knowledge
and to see the mountainous region near the Laos border. Sights included the location of the Ho Chi Minh Trail,
Khe
Sanh marine base, Cam Lo River bridge and Vinh Moc tunnels. The tunnels were built into the coastal cliffs and protected 300-400 people throughout the US bombardments.
