Our journey in the Territory has taken us over the wide open grasslands of the Barkly Tablelands, then down the Stuart Highway in the middle of the country. Much of the terrain looks like Outback
Queensland but as we've traveled south and climbed from around 300m to 600m (1000ft to 2000ft) there are more ridges and outcrops, climaxing in the McDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs.
