Thanks to everyone whose websites helped me plan the trip, my parents and Stewart for accomodating us, and all the friendly people and considerate drivers across the country.
The detailed maps on the site are generated by the official British government mapping organization the Ordinance Survey, they require that no-one copies the maps but you can generate your own ones here for free.
The quality of the pictures deteriorates later in the mist and cloud, the compression software can't deal with the Scottish weather!
