I spent a week in 1985 completing a hiking expedition with my friend Ross. The inspiration was to climb the hills we'd seen while walking the "West Highland Way", a long distance footpath from Milngavie to Fort William, while the reason I documented it so closely was to complete the requirements of the "Queens Scout Award", the highest scouting award in the UK. I titled the Hike Log In Search of a Trig Point or The World's Longest Pub Crawl.
I have transcribed the original text of the log including grammar and spelling errors, but have added some notes, included [in square brackets]. Read on to find out all about the hike.
