Whanganui River

We took a cruise on New Zealand's only paddle steamer for Valentine's day and took the same route by the river road the next day. Having ascertained that there was a pub at the end! Note that the river is spelt with an "h" in the Maori way while the town is spelt without. The Waimarie used to run a passenger service up the river in the first half of the 20th century.
