Taranaki

 
Taranaki is the region to the west of us, dominated by the Mt Fuji like Mt Taranaki (2518m high, about 8200ft). This dormant volcano is the 2nd biggest mountain in the north island and is regularly cloaked in cloud. New Plymouth is the region's major town.
