Wairapa

The Wairapa is a rich agricultural district in the southeast of the North Island. Much of the area is given over to sheep and dairy farms, and includes the Martinborough wine growing region. The rugged coast includes Cape Pallister while the west of the area is dominated by the Tararua Range of mountains.
