Day 2: Arrive Entebbe, travel to Jinja

Despite a few minor traumas on the way, the whole team managed to arrive at Entebbe airport to be met by their hosts: David and Renee Waako of Peniel Ministries and Nancy. Their truck appeared too small to accomodate us all for the 100 mile journey to Jinja, but some careful packing saw us all squeezed in.

There was not a lot of breathing room, lucky really as those near the cab shared a dwindling oxygen supply, while anyone near the open back had to survive their first encounter with African dust. The road to Jinja is good, though and it took only about 2 hours to travel there where we had a pleasant surprise when we saw our accomodation for the week, the Bridgeway Guesthouse run by the very welcoming Dorothy. We were soon unpacked and in bed!
