At last, our first clinic. We loaded the lorry with our medical supplies, a PA system to broadcast instructions and preaching, and a few of the local people who work with Peniel Ministries, who would act as translators. The venue was to be a primary school at Nsuube. The clinic took some setting up as we tried to work out what kind of organisational system would maximise our resources. Despite problems with not enough translators, too much noise and restricted space we were underway. At the end of the day we even had time to entertain the local kids, with Bob's dancing a big hit!
In the evening we had an emotional meeting to air the problems with the day and confront the hopelessness of our task given the enormous need for medical treatment. Practical ideas for future clinics were also discussed.
