Day 15: Malaba

Today's clinic will be situated outside Malaba: the border post we crossed through twice. This presents a slightly different set of problems than the villages we have been in and makes a change. Again we are in a church, this time a Baptist church as we are working with David Lindstrom, a Baptist missionary. He has everything very well organised, down to having a large lean-to shelter built against the church for shade, a strict limit on numbers and an armed guard to deter trouble (we did not anticipate much other than that caused by a press of numbers).

Despite the shelter we were cramped, however limiting numbers to 400 allowed us to provide better treatment. We also finished at a reasonable hour, and with Tim running late there was an opportunity to entertain the local children at the end of the day. The evening saw us going to David and Linda's for another fine meal, all through the trip we have been fed well to keep us working hard.
